I feel like such a handyman

But in reality I’m not.

Last week our dryer stopped drying. It ran just fine, but there wasn’t any heat. So Monday I replaced the heating element. It actually wasn’t too hard, once I knew what I was looking for.

Today I fixed the belt in the vacuum cleaner. It busted the other day. This was simple; done in less than five minutes.

So really, I’m not a handyman, but still, I feel awesome right now.

To all of my friends…

OK, so I’ve decided to add all of your email addresses to my blog subscription. That means that whenever I post on my blog, YOU get an email about it. That way you can all keep up on what is going on with me. How lucky of you!!!

Of course, if you secretly hate me and only pretend to like me for some unknown reason, OR, if you are afraid that reading my semi-amusing stories, quotes, experiences, etc, might be too much for you to handle and are afraid of losing your jobs because of your uncontrollable laughter at work, there is an easy way for you to unsubscribe and NEVER RECEIVE SPAM FROM ME AGAIN. Each time you get an email, there should be a link somewhere near the bottom where you can click, and it will open up the subscription page on my site. Simply enter your email address, choose unsubscribe, and submit.

Also, feel free to comment on anything here at any time. Enjoy!

NOTE: The folks here at www.christopherawheeler.com (that is just me) hate spam. You email addresses are safe and will never be shared with or sold to any third parties. Unless they offer me a lot of money. I mean, a LOT. Please, rest assured, this has not happened yet. Or has it?

Britney is K-Fed up with husband

Clever huh?

In a [sarcasm] shocking [/sarcasm] turn of events, it appears Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are calling it quits. This comes just two months after Britney gave birth to the couple’s second child in as many years.

I don’t really have anything else to say about this, I just found it semi-amusing. Except for the kids, who will have to suffer with the humiliation of knowing their parents are Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.

UPDATE: Well, I thought I was very clever with the title of my post, but apparently that was too easy. It seems as if all of the new news articles I read regarding this have taken the same route. But I swear, I didn’t steal it.

UPDATE: Apparently she told him via text message. That is hilarious.

I can’t wait until Wednesday

Oh how I can’t wait until Wednesday. Wednesday means the 2006 midterm elections will be over.

What this means is no more phone calls. For the past few weeks we have been getting TONS of calls from the likes of President Bush, Laura Bush, Jim Nussle, and whoever else keeps calling. Seriously, we’ve been getting like four or five calls a day, which is probably about triple the amount of calls we normally get.

“Eff” Iowa State

So I took Michael and Audrey to last nights Hawkeye Womens Basketball exhibition game and Audrey had to use the facilities, so we went in to the mens restroom and entered the big handicap stall so we could all fit in there. Michael and I turned around while Audrey did her thing, and Michael said, “Dad, f*** Iowa State”. I immediately turned around and yelled “WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?!?!!?” He pointed to some writing on the stall wall that said “F*** IOWA STATE”. Then I had to explain to him that that word is not one that we use because it is a bad word, and I told him I wasn’t mad at him about it.
